The aim of the questionnaire is to explore what pleasure is for you. It is intended to give you a voice – to talk frankly what gives you pleasure and what does not.
For that reason, we won’t ever reveal your name – just your story.
Since pleasure is a feeling, this can only be hinted at and alluded to with words. Like the most sublime works of art, this project aims to represent the unrepresentable. That’s why you’ll be asked about sounds, sights, smells and sensations of touch you find pleasurable. We want the reader of your story to not just read, but to see and hear and even touch that which gives you pleasure to see, hear and touch.
Pleasure Unplugged is a cross-cultural, collaborative journey into female pleasure. The stories that come to us through this questionnaire will be published as an online, multimedia publication that quite literally is endless. As long as there is a woman who wants to describe either her pleasure and / or the opposite of it, the project will continue. This majority of this invaluable resource will be written by you, the women who speak out.
Here’s how it works. Go the questionnaire page. Then, in a quiet moment, when you have the time to relax and really think about your answers, respond to the questions.
We grouped the questions in chronological order, starting with childhood and ending with you as a sexually active adult. But it doesn’t matter in which order you answer the questions and what’s more, you’re not obliged to answer all of them. Feel free to scroll backwards and forwards through the questions – we’d recommend answering the one you find easiest first. This will be different for everyone.
We’ll ask you for some basic demographic data at the end so that we can organise stories into categories. But please remember, your identity will never be revealed.
